Virginia Public Sector Leader III
Intended for organization executives
The VPSL III curriculum features:
- Emotional Intelligence – using the MBTI (level 2 or 3) and EQ 360 assessment instruments to understand self; using self-awareness to develop personal and organizational executive leadership goals; and, developing appreciative leadership theory deployment strategies
- Management Functions – data-diving for statistics relevant to succession planning and leadership bench strength; developing and leading communication strategies; and, practicing podium and presentation tactics
- Leadership and Decision-Making – understanding and developing a risk mitigation approach; using project management tools and techniques; and, understanding program evaluation goals, instrument development, and analysis of results
- Team Building and Influence – caring for self as a leadership necessity; tapping into executive coaching, as needed; and, developing skill sets to inspire excellence
- Strategic Leadership – understanding organizational development and leading through change; leading strategic planning and strategic management processes; and, linking strategic management to performance management
